In The Magic Duel, two demographically diverse, snarky sleight-of-hand masters battle live, on stage for the title of 'Washington DC's Favorite Magician'.
The Magic Duel, one of DC's top comedy shows, is back from the pandemic shutdown and ready to re-start live shows at the Mayflower Hotel - Autograph Collection!
In The Magic Duel, two demographically diverse, snarky sleight-of-hand masters battle live, on stage for the title of 'Washington DC's Favorite Magician'. Audience members choose the magical challenges for the contest and then vote electronically to determine the winner of the coveted 'Golden Wand.' The show is ranked number one in several categories on Yelp with a five star rating. A well balanced mix of comedy, magic and audience participation, The Magic Duel is designed for grown ups, 18 years and older for political and mature humor. It is perfect for date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, and bridal showers.
Tickets are available at Eventbrite, starting at $35 for general admission seating in the rear of the audience, $60 for assigned seats in the middle and $80 for VIP seats which are the center seats of the first 2 rows.
- Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event
The comedy in The Magic Duel has a topical and political slant which makes it great for adults and uninteresting to most people under 18 years old. To maintain the atmosphere of The Mayflower and the show, we suggest an upscale dress code and that no one under 15 years old attend.
- What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event
The best option is the Farragut North Metro station, one block south of the hotel. Metered street parking is very limited, but the best choice is the PMI Parking Garage at 1725 Desales St. NW. across Desales from the hotel. You can usually get a discount there using the SpotHero app.
- How can I contact the organizer with any questions
Email [email protected] or call or text 202-262-3617.
- What's the refund policy

Drinks are available at Edgar, the lobby bar in the Mayflower. You may bring them into the show.
