Luxmuralis is an award-winning artistic collaboration between sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, known for creating breathtaking immersive installations that blend fine art, light, and sound. Based in the UK and internationally acclaimed, their work transforms historic and sacred spaces into living works of art.
Using cutting-edge projection and music technology, Luxmuralis crafts large-scale experiences that bring the traditions of fine art into conversation with contemporary media. Each installation invites audiences to physically walk through monumental spaces, becoming part of the artwork itself — a deeply moving and powerful experience that has captivated hundreds of thousands of viewers.
Their work is more than a light show — it’s a fusion of heritage, imagination, and emotion. By reflecting on history, culture, and the architecture of each location, Luxmuralis creates site-specific exhibitions that are both visually stunning and rooted in a profound sense of place. Many have described their illuminated projections as the “stained glass windows of our time.”
Luxmuralis installations have been featured at some of the world’s most iconic landmarks, including St. Paul’s Cathedral (London), Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Chatsworth House, Limburg Cathedral in Germany, Oxford museums, and numerous cathedrals across the UK.
Now, for the first time, Luxmuralis brings their groundbreaking work to Washington National Cathedral — inviting American audiences to step into a light-filled journey like no other.
