Story Time: Mae Among the Stars



Learn about the first African American woman in space

Thursdays, Feb 19, 2026 - Feb 26, 2026. 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Learn the story of Doctor Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman in space with this book by Rhonda Ahmed. Children are invited to imagine all of the things they might do and be in the future and like Mae learn they are not limited to one small idea.


Story Time and Museum admission are free. Timed-entry passes are required and may be reserved online at airandspace.si.edu.
