Miramar

Miramar brings new life to bolero with original songs and new interpretations of golden-era classics, blending influences like psychedelic funk and rock.

Feb 26, 2026. 7:30 p.m.

The band features the captivating vocals of Laura Ann Singh and Rei Alvarez—also the group’s main songwriter—along with pianist and arranger Marlysse Simmons-Argandona and a rotating lineup of all-star percussionists, bassists, and guitarists.

In most of Latin America, if you are by the sea, there will be a place called Miramar (“look to the sea”) with a view of the ocean. If music is playing, it’s likely boleros, a romantic genre born in the late 1800s that gained international popularity through the collaborations between Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Cuban musicians.
