Reinvention of an Icon
Riggs Washington DC sits in the former home of Washington D.C.'s Riggs National Bank. Located in the capital's Penn Quarter neighborhood, the 121,000 sq. ft. property features 181 residential guest rooms and suites, an expansive restaurant and café, a subterranean cocktail bar, and an indoor-outdoor rooftop event space.
Rooftop at Riggs, built in 2019, is a grand space that crowns the historic building. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame a flexible 2,500 sq. ft. event space, opening onto a 1,500 square foot terrace with city views. The venue features natural lighting, an oasis of greenery and can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated dinner, or 200 for a standing cocktail reception. Both the North and South Atrium are separated by a Foyer that can be used to welcome guests from the elevator or for breaks throughout their meeting.
For more intimate gatherings, the Riggs Suite located on the 10th floor can accommodate receptions and intimate events for up to 25 guests and offers a boardroom table that can seat up to 12, lounge furniture, wet bar for cocktail service - and is interconnected to two guest bedrooms for overnight accommodations up to 4 guests.
Additional meeting space can be found in Café Riggs' two dining rooms, which can be reserved for semi-private seated dinners or receptions up to 20 or private lunch or dinner meetings from 16-30. The Bar at Café Riggs can also be sectioned off for casual receptions up to 45.
