Urbana restaurant & wine bar (located in the Hotel Palomar in Dupont) has an incredible new list of wine flights and Italian wines by the glass. Great bar food too.

I recently moved to DC and stayed at the Savoy Suites Hotel while hunting for an APT. Great value with free parking & WiFi. The rooms have kitchens and killer views! The location is perfect being in upper Georgetown. You avoid the crowds but have easy access!

The Madison a Loews Hotel just underwent an extensive renovation that has brought the hotel back to one of the top 5 luxury DC hotels. The hotel has an extensive history from every US President visiting the hotel since 1963 with international dignitaries and celebrities regularly calling it home when visiting DC. Now I know why. It offers great public spaces, beautiful rooms and luxury service that is not stuffy. You really will feel like a VIP or Dignitary when staying at The Madison.

I checked out the new attraction "Madame Tussauds" because I would see the Whoopi Goldberg figure every day on my way to work so I stopped by with my wife. It a CRAZY experience. All the figures are so lifelike. They have presidents, sports figs and tons of celebrities. My wife was most excited about dancing with Beyonce!! Locals and Tourists should definitely check it out.
