If you’re a history buff like Ben Gates, the museums of the Smithsonian Institution are sure to rank high on your must-see list. Although the National Museum of American History is closed through July 2008 for renovations, you can seek out some of the museum’s most popular artifacts in a special exhibition at the National Air and Space Museum. Highlights of the Treasures of American History exhibition include Lincoln’s top hat and Dorothy’s Ruby Red Slippers.
