WCTC and WCCA Host ECEF
WCTC and the Washington Convention Center Authority (WCCA) joined forces to sponsor the 2007 Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF), which took place at the Washington Convention Center on May 9. ECEF is a one-day gathering of 125 association and independent event producing executives. These decision-makers meet to discuss and explore strategies to strengthen their events such as partnering with compatible events, developing joint ventures, seeking out sponsorships, and outsourcing and acquiring other events. During the forum, leaders in the event planning industry experienced the services and facilities available at the Washington Convention Center and enjoyed overnight accommodations at the Renaissance Washington, DC.
To entice attendees, WCTC and WCCA teamed up to offer a VIP meeting giveaway package, including meeting space in the WCC's Jarvis Executive Board Room, food service, A/V service, transportation to/ from the airport or train station, hotel accommodations, a VIP dinner at one of DC's hottest restaurants and a VIP gift for all attendees. Barbara Myers, American Public Safety Communications International, was the winner.
